- Check for updates every XX days
Checks for an update of the DICOM viewer at startup. Set the number of days between automatic checks, maximum is 120 days.
This check is done at the start of the overview window only.
- Storage folders
- Images folder
The default folder where saved single image files are stored.
- Scenes folder
The default folder where WMV, AVI, cropped scenes or DICOM scenes are stored.
- Incoming DICOM files
The folder to store incoming DICOM files, sent by DICOM clients (receive mode) or retrieved from DICOM servers or PACS.
-Subfolder 'RetrievedFiles' stores all DICOM files retrieved from DICOM servers or PACS.
-Subfolder 'ReceivedFiles' stores all DICOM files sent directly to your PC, using the receive mode.
Choose a storage location with lots of space, DICOM files can be huge.
Choose a local harddisk, it is advised not to use a network drive.
Stored DICOM files are deleted automatically at startup of the DICOM viewer, according to 'Delete incoming DICOM files' settings.
- Log folder
The default folder where log files are stored.
- Certificates folder
The default folder where certifcate files are stored, used for secure TLS DICOM communication.

Create log files of DICOM communications, the overview- and image windows.
DICOM communication log
- Default log
Brief information of communication between the DICOM viewer and other DICOM entities is stored.
Check both expanded logs only if there are communication problems.
- Expanded incoming log
Expanded communication storage of all incoming communication.
- Expanded outgoing log
Expanded communication storage of all outgoing communication.
- Maximum bytes-dump
Set the maximum number of bytes stored in the logs for each communication block. A value of 4096 is advised to keep
log-file size manageable. Can only be set if either expanded log is checked.
- Delete log files older than .. hours
Delete old log files, older than .. hours. Log files older than 7 days are always deleted.
