Save images or scenes
Save images, entire scenes or a selection of a scene to popular image formats. Go to the 'File' menu of the image window to find the different save features. Formats available are raw, tiff, bitmap,
jpeg, jpeg2000, DICOM, Windows Media Video (WMV), AVI or animated GIF.
- Save image for analysis
Save a single image as DICOM, raw, tiff or bmp. The jpeg format is not available as this is a lossy compression:
the quality is less than the original.
If the original image is compressed with a lossy compression and no original quality image can be found, a
warning is displayed.
In case of biplane display, you have to choose which image to save, the left or the right.
Not available if a scene is playing.
- Save image as...
Save a single image as raw, tiff, jpeg, jpeg2000 or bitmap. The image is saved from the screen as a 'screendump', so it will be stored
exactly as you see the image (with text overlays, ECG, measurements, etc).
Not available if a scene is playing.
- Save scene as...
Save a scene as DICOM, Window Media Video format, AVI (if the option is switched on in the settings) or animated GIF with a loop.
Only when you save as DICOM, the original file data is used. For the other formats, the saved scene is a copy of what you see on the screen. It's up to you to for example switch display data off, resize the window, change brightness/contrast, etc., to create a WMV, AVI or animated GIF file. If the trimming tool is active, the trimmed scene will be saved.
In case of biplane display and you chose to save as DICOM, first the left scene will be stored. You'll then be presented with another 'Save as' window to choose and conform the name of the right/biplane scene.
Not available with a single image.
